To Parents/Carers,
We hope that all of our children that are presently studying from home (due to self-isolation or as directed by the school following Government advice) are happy and healthy, and that their families are too.
As a school the structure that we have decided to adopt during this time to support those children studying from home and to keep in regularly contact with parents/carers is as follows: each class team/tutor group will be emailing work/messages/updates etc to parents/carers directly (so please check your emails regularly).
You can therefore contact your child’s class team/tutor group via this email address. These emails will be shared between yourself and the class team only (but will be monitored by the senior leadership team if necessary).
We are hoping that parents/carers will use this email address to keep in contact with us also. We are looking forward to being sent messages/pictures showing us what your child is doing at home (we would love to see photos/hear messages of our children completing tasks set by the team, but also general photos/hear messages of what they are getting up to during this time).
We are here to support you whilst home schooling your child. Please do not hesitate to ask questions or seek advice from the class team/tutor group.
This email address will be checked regularly during the day during weekdays, but please be aware that Parkside is still open for the children of key workers, so emails may not be responded to immediately within school hours.
If you could please let us know if you have: access to a computer at home, if you have access to the internet at home and if you have access to a printer at home – this would make setting tasks for your child at home easier for the class teams.
Parkside is sending all of its well wishes to the children and their families at this time.
Ladybird Team and Parkside School.
Class Teachers will be emailing or posting curriculum content to you from Wednesday 25 March which you can choose to use. Please find below information and resources to help you with supporting learning from home:
