School Council

Each year all students at Parkside are given an opportunity to vote for who they would like to be on the student council.

Elected students are on the student council for a year.

Members of the student council meet regularly to discuss the school and things that they would like to change.  Their ideas are then submitted to the Senior Leadership Team.

The student council are often involved in the interview process of potential new teaching staff holding their own interviews with candidates and feeding back to the interview panel.

Here’s what a student (Year 10) had to say about being a member of the student council:

It’s… “Definitely fun”

It’s a… “Privilege”

“It won’t be fair on the students if they don’t get their point of view across”

“It gives them opportunity to get things done before they move on”
